"Balcic" is a coastal city in current day Bulgaria which in the time when Nicolae Tonitza was painting was the southern most sea resort in The Great Romania of the interbelic aera (1918 - 1945). In this glam I've portrayed the light pastel colours the painter used as well as the high contrast darker browns.
I like the idea of this patreon challenge a lot. It allowed me to study more art history and appreciate my country's masters.
