The Dreadwyrm's Loyal Sharpshooter

There are many What-If questions floating around the FFXIV fandom. What if the WoL was somehow overcome by the sheer power and majesty of the Dreadwyrm, now driven to utilize Allagan tech to quicken its return upon the world? What if they then sought to not defeat Phoenix, but to instead enslave its powers of resurrection? Now that would be a tale. There's probably already fanfic of this concept already.
